Manual Grease Traps
Manual Grease traps work by slowing the flow of waste water, this allows it to cool and separate into layers with the FOGS (Fats, Oils & Grease) sitting on top and water at the bottom. The outlet is designed to only allow the liquids at the bottom to then be released into the drainage system.
Automatic Grease Traps
Automatic Grease Removal Units work in the same way as manual grease traps by slowing the flow of waste water and allowing this to cool thus separating the grease from the waste water. The difference between the two systems is the way in which that oil is removed from the trap, with an automatic system, the FOGS flow into a removable chamber making them easier to empty and clean.
Enzyme Dosing Systems
Enzyme dosing systems work by releasing a specially formulated bacteria or enzyme into your grease trap at pre set intervals, this enzyme then digests the fats and grease leaving a water soluble waste behind, this waste can then flow out of your grease trap into the drains without causing any blockages.
